Plagiarism Policy

IQRO: Journal of Education, Management, Economics, and Socio-Political Studies is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical publication practices. The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism.

All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using reliable plagiarism detection software before being sent for peer review.


Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Direct copying of text, data, images, or ideas without proper citation

  • Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without appropriate acknowledgment

  • Self-plagiarism, including the reuse of one’s own previously published work without proper citation

  • Duplicate publication or redundant publication


Similarity Threshold

  • The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.

  • A similarity index above this threshold may result in desk rejection or a request for revision prior to peer review.

  • References, quotations, and commonly used phrases may be excluded from similarity calculations.


Screening Process

  1. All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism at the initial screening stage.

  2. Manuscripts with minor similarity issues may be returned to authors for correction.

  3. Manuscripts with significant plagiarism will be rejected and may result in further editorial action.


Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is identified at any stage of the publication process:

  • The manuscript will be rejected or retracted

  • The author(s) may be barred from submitting to the journal for a specified period

  • The author’s institution may be notified if deemed necessary


Author Responsibilities

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • Their manuscripts are original works

  • All sources are properly cited

  • Permission is obtained for the use of copyrighted materials


Ethical Compliance

IQRO handles cases of plagiarism and unethical behavior in accordance with COPE guidelines and ensures fair and transparent procedures.
